Big Thanks and a Funny Story

Well...if you like seeing my creative stuff I posted them on my other site to look at, if not...feel free to not go look :0). I just wanted to let all the girlies out there that went to the scrapbook house know that I had a wonderful time!!! I will post pictures when I can get them from my mom. I didn't do near as many pages as last time 15 versus like 50!! But it was so fun...I laughed until it hurt, and then I laughed some more, until I seriously could not laugh anymore!!! It was just the break I needed before vacation...I can't wait to do it again!!! I got to be more artistic this time, and do more to my pages. I made 2 different bird pages, but I couldn't post the other until I fix my birdies eyes...they got mashed. I also made a super crazy old man face for one of my mom's pages. It went in the title of a page where Payden (my nephew) was wearing a mask that he got while garage selling with me in Cody, Wy. Seriously one of my funniest memories. Here we are (my mom, sister, myself, Paige, and Payden) walking down main street and it's like 102 outside and he's in this crazy old man mask-with a beard and everything. The eye holes were down to his cheeks and people were staring at us like we were crazy. Payden refused to take it off which made it even better. To make matters worse they were in this double stroller that would not move right so Amber and I were in hysterics because we kept running it into the doorways of the shops...good times, but I guess you all really need to picture it with the mask-makes it all much better!! One man even walked by and did a double take (lots of people did) and turned around and said, "I thought you had a really ugly baby in there"-wow he's honest :0) .:giggles:.
Laughs for all my friends!!

PS Amber...when you read this will you please send me that picture from Cody so I can post it?

And 1 more makes 3

Well...I have a new baby! I know...A 3rd blog...what am I thinking? I wanted somewhere to write down the things that I am working on. I needed somewhere that I could challenge myself, somewhere I could remain accountable for true change. Each week I will be giving myself new goals, in various area's of my life that I feel need improvement, and I will also give progress on how I am doing with each goal (mainly this is for me, but you are all welcome to read-give encouragement, proding, ect.-or join in if you'd like). I truly believe that by starting with myself, maybe someday I can help to make some global changes-and if not, at least I will have become the person I want to be. If any of you would like to join me, please do so, and let me know where your journey is leading you. www.becomingmetoday.blogspot.com
I will also be posting on here what creative things I have been working on so I don't have to bore you all on this one. Check it out if you'd like...it will take me a bit to really get it all going. For all of you interested in my scrappin swap-this is where I will be posting that stuff as well as soon as I can get that going. I am thinking starting for sure in May, possibly April but I will let you all know!
Good changes for all my friends!!

Viva Las Vegas!!!

These photo's are of grandpa Bud's birthday dinner with Brad, Rochelle, Brandon , Cora, and Yoli. Also on here is the night Chad, Jessica, and Danen all got into town and we went on rides at the Stratosphere :0). Besides gambling Eric and I tried our hand at Circus Circus prizes. I played this crazy game where you hit this launcher with a mallet and try to get the chicken into a pot in the center while it is moving. We came away pretty unsuccessful-luckily I found a bunch of tickets to use to buy stuff with that some people didn't want. I remember this casino from when I was little, Eric thought I was nuts that I wanted to go, but I think we both had fun in the end. There is also a picture of us waiting to get into the Criss Angel Cirque show. I would never go again, we both agree that is was pretty bad-Mystere was much better!!
These are all the flowers and displays at the Bellagio. It was really pretty!! This season they are doing a butterfly theme-that included a butterfly atrium. I think Eric even enjoyed the flowers-plus it smelled wonderful!!!!
This has pictures from us walking the strip and seeing all sorts of posing characters, in the Bass Pro shop/casino, the Mirage fire show, Krispy Kreme donut making at the Excalibur, the Planet Hollywood million mile mall (where Eric's grandfather is currently in charge of building some of the new stores), and our adventures in gambling...we each used $3.50, spent it all in different places, wasted our money, chalked it up to experience, and walked away :0). Call me a sinner, but I had to try it at least once in my life-and no I don't try all temptations once...but what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas (that is unless you come back preggo or flat bankrupt...those things stay with you-haha-we fall into neither category).
These pictures are of the lions at the MGM, creatures from the Rainforrest cafe, the M&M store, and the Coke store. I love that they have all sorts of different coke lables. I am not a pop drinker, but if I were-they had this super cool soda sampling from around the world that I would have tried.
Eric's grandfather turned 72 when we were there, so we had a little family celebration!!! With them in the picture is Eric's uncle Brad, and his cousin Brandon that used to live in Poky.
The ultra cool retro sign that you see when entering the strip.
At the top of the Stratosphere...we went on the ride that shoots you up and down on the needle part, and the new ride that teeter-totters you over the edge. They were both thrilling but we like the one on the needle part better.
This is outside the bellagio...I love going and looking at their seasonal gardens. They always have such amazing designs!
This is in front of the Monte Carlo. All the work that goes into the design of these hotels is unbelievable!!! Eric and I decided on themes of our own if we were to open hotels on the strip...it was pretty fun to think of what you could do if you could do anything, and as always bigger is better in Las Vegas!!
Over all we had a really great definitelyas really good to see family and friends. I am definently now hooked on seeing Cirque shows! I can't wait to see O and Ka-someday!! We will have to pace ourselves. Luckily we took up some offers given so we were able to do all these things pretty inexpensively. We went to a time-share presentation and in doing that and paying 50 bucks we got the Criss Angel tickets, tickets to see the Bodies show (cadavers doing trecommends all parts and functions of the human body-I highly reccomend this! Even Eric who hates blood and medical stuff loved it!), and free dinner. We also did a appetizer tasting/research thing and got paid to eat while we were in Planet Hollywood's Million Mile Shops-not too shabby. Eric said he felt like an animal doing all these marketing things, receivedm glad we just got to do so much for so cheap! We also recived a free cruise to thecontemplating the time share thing-so for now I am looking and contemplatin our next trip...we have to use that within the year. I hope you all had a great spring break!! I know we did...the warm weather and family were vacation enough, all else was just a bonus!!

Super Crazy Dunk!!!

I know-this is crazy, 3 posts in one day! Make sure you check out the other ones, but I just had to post this!! This is a kid that Eric worked with on basketball in Cody. It is crazy to watch him play now and compare it to when he was in high school. I think this qualifies as the best dunk I have ever seen!!! Love it-great job Adam!!

Scrappin Swap...

Okay, so I know two posts in one day...overkill-haha. Anyways, I would like to start a scrapbooking swap. Would any of if any you be interested? I would like to do it with people I know so we ensure that we get stuff back and that it is good quality. It won't be anything super expensive. I would be willing to invite your family and friends-I just want it to be fun and trustworthy. Each month I would come up with a theme (could be cards, handmade embellishments, product swap with theme, pages, ect.), and the amount of people that would be doing it that month (I am thinking maxing each month out at 10??). Then you would make the exact same thing for each of the people participating, send them to me with a prepaid and filled out envelope ( I will let you know size each month) and I would send then send all the others swap stuff back to you. Another way would be for us to each have a secret sister each month and we send a package to them...with this I would assign partners and switch it up each month (could then include more people). Anyways, I think it would be fun and a great way to enjoy each others talents, as well as jump start your own creativity. I am open to suggestions...so let me know what you think!!!

Spreading Kindness With My Hands

I have already done this once, but I figure why not do it again?! I have to have something to keep me creating!! So here are the rules.....Be one of the first 3 people to leave a comment on this post and you will be the lucky recipient of a handmade gift from me some time this year. (I know one year is a long time to wait, but that is going to make it even better, right?) Now here is the catch, you have to post the same thing on your blog and do the same for 3 lucky people.
Good luck to all my friends!!

What I Am Feeling Right Now...

I found this new site on one of the other blogs I check out...really fun! My challenge lately has been to do one creative thing everyday. Since tonight I will be packing I decided to try this out as my thing today. I would really like to be wearing this right now. Super fun, a little girly, warm, and kinda logger-ish :0). I think I will go back soon and make my next outfit, afterall it is much cheaper than shopping and it's also the closest I can get to real fashion living here in Pinedale!Check it out if you all want to create something fun to wear in the digital world today! We'll pretend I am in this and not in a t-shirt and jeans :0). www.polyvore.com
Happy virtual fashion making to all my friends!!

Painting

This is the project that I have been working on. I put it off for awhile because I couldn't decide if I wanted to leave the center stem that light brown or paint it a tan or white. I would love input because I still can't decide!! This is going to go above our bed. My friend Shanoa helped me figure out how to paint it, and gave me some great painting tips. It was really fun and I think I am going to add this to my list of things I want to learn more of. Like I need a new hobby, but it will save me a lot of money if I can do some decorations on my own. Anyways, let me know what you all think on the middle stem!
Happy creating to all my friends!!

Everythings Bigger in Texas

So if you're not hungry by now, you didn't look at the pictures hard enough!! This is my trip to Texas all summed up! We had such a great time. The conference was really really good! We had amazing food-the whole time! We hit up some great shops and found some great deals! We also hit up Texas' largest cake decorating competition. The competitions were kinda lame, but the artistry in the cake work was phenomenal!! I couldn't narrow down the pictures of them so I posted them all!! I also posted my finds-I know it's kinda lame, but my parents used to have us do this when we were little and I think it's kinda fun to look back at. I got both pairs of shoes for $5/each! Everything else I got was on sale too-except for the scrapbooking stuff (but it doesn't count-hehe). The school does food reimbursement for staff travel so we ate really well!!! I loved the warm weather and it was nice to get a little color in my skin! We hit up the Texas Longhorns shop-we were right across from the college-they have huge school spirit!! Also, there is a little picture that is pretty dark-the man in it only has a shirt on-only in a big city would you see this walking down the street. Most of our shopping was done in SoCo-a super funky shopping strip where all these crazy pictures were taken-I suggest it to all who go to Austin! We also went on a ghost tour which was fun to learn all of the history of Austin-they had the nations first serial killer-crazy!! I hope you all enjoy the pictures and that they inspire you all to do a little creating of your own-in the kitchen, or where ever else you create!! Enjoy your free time and get out in the sun if you can!!
Creative times to all my friends!!

BTW the billboard I thought was hilarious!!! I felt silly taking a picture until I came back to Wyoming and there was a guy taking a photo of the guns and cases sign in the airport. Funny to me because that's normal for me to see, but I guess signs like this are normal for them.

For Sanitary's Sake

I wanted to introduce you all to a cool invention...Say hello to my little friend the...
"Automatic Toilet Seat Cover: Push the red button and a fresh hygienic plastic seat cover revolves around seat. No need to share wet or germ covered seats. Most health regulations require seat covers. Replaces awkward and porous paper variety."

I may behind on the times, but this is the first time I had ever seen this (on my trip to Texas-more updates on that later), way cool!!! I had been thinking about something like this several years ago. I knew there was a better way to cover the toilet seats without anyone ever having to touch anything, get paper stuck to their bum, go to sit down to only have the paper flushed away on your sit-down versus your stand-up, to sit down on wet paper from toilet spray(or other unfortunate liquids), to try and hold it on your way down to have to avoid the automatic flusher, ect. I could never quite wrap my brain around how to do so, but to no avail some smarty pants (or bum if you prefer) figured it out and found an automatic way to protect our bums from germs. So, here's to you Mr. (Mrs.) bum protector!!!

Sanitary bum protection to all my friends :0)
