Marriage Mayhem

This is the new addition to the Oram family, Jessica (Chad's New Wifey). We all went up after Christmas to get ready for their wedding. I did her bridals and their wedding pictures, and I don't think I have ever been so cold in my entire life. Since then it has been non-stop mayhem trying to get them off my camera and onto a computer and a disk. I still can't get these on a disk to take home with me (we are at my parents), and so I thought I would let out all of my frustrations with a blog vent!! I had to go to Walgreens to finally get them all on a disk, but it took several tries before hand and lots of wasted hours!! Then what did load on my mom's computer, I played with now, but now it still won't go onto a disk and I really don't want to redo all 98 pictures!!! AHHHHH!!! So....now I will probably have to go spend more money to get a jump drive to get them all off. Why is it that the photo sessions I do for free always take me the most amount of work and stress!! I always feel like they won't be good enough for the family/friends I am doing them for so I take way more time on editing, I can't get what I want because its hard to be forceful with family (who is more comfortable disagreeing with family) and there always seems to be a hang up!! Besides all the wasted time on these, I just looked through them and all of Eric's side of the families pictures at the temple their heads are cut off! Stupid me, I should have figured out my remote instead of having someone else push the button-the blasted camera got moved and it totally screwed up the pictures. So...needless to say weddings totally freak me out (and I think this could be my one and only), there's no way to redo them, and now forever I get to be guilty about my bro/sis-in-laws wedding pictures and all the flaws!! I guess I will be done venting now....if only I could get this computer to work.......
More on the holidays later, and the start of basketball, and the actual wedding, and pictures of Adelina my cute niece (sorry Kristina), and finally Clari--I can't believe I am sooo behind!!
Better computer work to all my friends!

Thanksgiving Yumminess

My side of the family came to our house for Thanksgiving and we had a really great time full of lots of Thanksgiving yumminess! In the first picture the little cooked bird, actually was just that-I made a cute little cornish game hen for the kiddies to eat (I don't think they liked me telling them it was a baby turkey though-opps). Not only was Thanksgiving dinner great, we had lots of other yummy meals too! We had a swimming, rock climbing, hockey scrimaging, animal scoping(the boys), golf-ball searching(paige and grandma), photo taking, craft making, Wii playing, movie watching, game playing good time!! Here's some picts of our fun week. (Kristina and Jason we really wish you could have been here with us!!! But congrats on moving into your new house!) And a special thanks to my Mom for the new polka dot chair-Eric really likes to sit in it now, and for my new cute pillows! Hope that the rest of you had a great Thanksgiving weekend!!!

Happy Holidays to all my friends!!

Liz

PS-Don't you just love little Mara's thuggin' hood-it was seriously so huge, but so cute!! Oh yea and in the first picture that is raspberry jello with whipped cream-looks kinda nasty but tastes really good!

Screamin Tutu Princess

I just wanted to share this super cute picture from my last photo shoot. Ali was an absolute doll, but did not like my new tutu idea-haha. I feel kinda bad sometimes taking pictures when they're screaming, but she looked so darn cute! Anyways, thanks Kristina for telling me where to get these cute leggings-and helping me pick them out, you rock! If ya'll want to see more check out my business blog. Furthermore, in our neck of the woods: Eric started boys b-ball today, and soon I will be donating some time to help out with the girls b-ball team. We're both ready to start a new sport!! We have also been looking into housing and where/what we are going to do in June. The housing prices here are ridiculous!!! For a 1000 sq ft home with like 2 acres its 250,000 right now, so we are exploring other options. Crazyness!!!
Happy homes for all my friends!

Regionals Game #2

Well...it was a long way to travel and a hard game to watch! Most of the boys played hard the whole game, which I say because after the 1st half we were down by like 50 points and most of them kept on going strong! We never ended up scoring, but the boys played it to then end. It was a rough game, and a horrible field (there was more dirt than grass)! We ended up taking 4th in State which is pretty good since they haven't made it that far in a long time. All in all it was a good season, but a hard game to end it on. Eric loved coaching, but is excited to go into the basketball season now. Thanks goes out to the Nelson family for taking me in and letting me tag along to all of the games this season-its been really fun!!!!

My Vampire Nemesis

So...like the title says my vampire nemesis is.....Alice!! Thanks Dana this was fun to try! I thought for sure I would be a Bella, since several people I talked to said they pictured me as their Bella (guess I am a homely plain jane afterall-haha). Although, I don't think I can convince Eric to do this-maybe I'll just see if I can answer the questions for him. For those of you who have not yet read these great books (Twilight series)-I think you should fall in love with them (and Edward) ASAP, especially since the movie is coming out soon. I am patiently waiting, and I hope that Edwards acting ability convinces me that he's the right one because I don't think he fits the Edward I see described in the book-not very cute for sure!
I'm a Alice! I found out through TwilightersAnonymous.com. Which Twilight Female Are You? Take the quiz and find out!

So NOT Obamafied

I am disappointed with the outcome of this election. I think we can go back to our trusty facts that truly we are more likely to vote for the better speaker and the one who is best looking than the actual candidate who will do the best job. I can say that although I think it is great that we are making headway towards electing women and people of other races into office, I still don't think this was the person we needed to get us out of this funk we are in as a nation-regardless of his race. I hope he does a good job, and does not lead us into further governmental oppression (since one of his idols is among the worst of the worst communistic leaders). All I can say is that I voted and it was not for him-so you might hear more out of me if he does a crummy job. If not I will keep quiet, but know that I have not been Obamafied. He has not cast me under his spell of good looks and better oration. Once you look into his policies-maybe you will see that you too do not want to be Obamafied like some the rest of this nation who is now following a blind leader-whose fairy tales and rainbow fantasies will lead us nowhere but down. Only God knows the fate of this nation, but I do know that the Lord does not back a candidate because of his looks or speaking ability (beware of those who lead away the hearts of the people into wickedness) however he does look at their hearts and what they stand for and I think Obama is a wolf in sheep's clothing-and any man who supports partial birth abortion (and many other policies that propose to take away the freedoms we cherish) is not the man for me or the God that I worship because killing innocent life is never okay! I will get off my soapbox now that I have spoke my peace :0).

First Regionals Playoff Game

WE WON!!! Pinedale played Lovell for our first playoff game and after a rough start we ended up winning. Unfortunately part of that is because we tackled their really good quarterback and he hurt his ankle. I know that sounds bad, but it really was the turning point for us. I felt bad for him and for their backup, you could tell he was feeling the pressure and totally not ready to be the man. They also had this huge guy on their team-number 72 (the only picture on their of only their team). To my knowledge he never got in, but man he was probably one of the biggest people I have ever seen. That's saying something too, because I have some tall friends :0). Anyways, I am super excited for the boys-Pinedale hasn't made it to the playoffs in years, and the fact that they won is even more satisfactory! We will play again next Saturday-either in Pinedale or in a city like 6-7hrs away. My vote is for playing in Pinedale-GOOD LUCK BOYS!!!

Meet Our Upstairs Master and Extra Bathroom

As the title says this is our Master and extra bathroom. I love this place for the sheer fact that our Master rocks. This will probably be the nicest thing we will ever live in, so I'm savoring it while I can (a walk in closet-who knew it could be so redeeming?). Because it had 1 1/2 more bathrooms than we've had before, I decided to revamp our room and do a new color scheme. My mom gave me this blue and brown bedspread for my birthday (but it's for a king sized bed that I am currently saving up for), and my mother-in-law gave me the towels for the master bathroom for my birthday. I won art lessons from a lady in our ward at our relief society auction so soon I will have some cool paintings to put in our room too. The hot pink and black in the extra bath we've had in our past places, but I think it is one on my favorites!!! I have found some cool stuff at different places to decorate with. Most of the stuff on our dresser is from our wedding-thanks Courtney for the picture frames! Well only two more rooms to clean and post-I hate moving! I get so burnt out that I always have one place that ends up with all the leftovers dumped there, so now I need to reclaim my scrap room from all of the leftover stuff.

Celebrating Life

I was watching the last of Oprah today and saw the story of this couple and thought I should share this with others. The Mom made a profound statement that she knew she could raise Eliot because she could cry later-but for now she was going to celebrate each day that she had with her little one before he passed on. It made me think, how do I celebrate each day? Each of us have the ability to turn our trials into triumphs, if we only give it to God he can help to heal our hearts and turn our minds to the positive. I think that this amazing couple is a great example of this. I love where it says in the video it says something to the effect that God is able to touch the lives of others with a boy who never even spoke. So I ask myself how am I touching the lives of others, can my example alone do it in a positive way? I hope you all enjoy this little film in the celebration of this little ones life, I will warn you that it is sad-but hopeful. By the way, Eliot will have a little brother soon, and I believe he is in heaven helping to send him down!

Celebrations of today for all my friends!

No longer an Idahoan

I was just de-junking my old e-mails and found this one from my Mom. I found this very fitting because I just got my Wyoming drivers license so I am no longer an Idahoan. This definitely applies to good ol' Wyoming, and parts of it to my old Idaho home.

Here is what Jeff Foxworthy has to say about Wyoming...

If your local Dairy Queen is closed from September through May, you live in Wyoming.

If someone in a Home Depot store offers you assistance and they don't work there, you live in Wyoming.
If you've worn shorts and a parka at the same time, you live in Wyoming.

If you've had a lengthy telephone conversation with someone who dialed a wrong number, you live in Wyoming.

If "Vacation" means going anywhere south of Ft. Collins for the weekend, you live in Wyoming.

If you measure distance in squares of farm land, you live in Wyoming.

If you know several people who have hit a cow more than once, you live in Wyoming.

If you have gone from "heat" to "A/C" and back to "heat" all in the same day, you live in Wyoming.

If you can drive 75 mph through 2 feet of snow during a raging blizzard without flinching, you live in Wyoming.

If you install security lights on your house and garage, but leave both unlocked, you live in Wyoming.

If you carry jumpers in your car and your wife knows how to use them, you live in Wyoming.

If you design your kid's Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit, you live in Wyoming.

If the I-80 speed limit is 75 mph -- you're going 90 and everybody is passing you, you live in Wyoming.

If driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled with snow, you live in Wyoming.

If you know all 4 seasons: almost winter, winter, still winter and road construction, you live in Wyoming.

If you have more hours on your snow blower than miles on your car, you live in Wyoming.

If you find 10 degrees "a little chilly," you live in Wyoming.

If you understand these jokes, you actually have lived in Wyoming.

If you do nothing else-enjoy the journey!!!

I've been tagged!

Tagged by Angie. Basically the rules are, I tell 7 weird/interesting things about myself and then tell 7 other people to do it and leave them a comment about it! So...I am taking the challenge because I enjoy reading other peoples, and warrant a change in my blogging escapades!

1. I still (in the back of my head) have a severe desire to enter the medical field somehow! Someday I will get there-I'm just working on the how :0).

2. I get the winter blues and in moving now to a town who has more winter than any other season, I am waiting until it hits to try out several suggestions I have received on how to combat this. Its really annoying and for any of you that have it you know that-it turns me into someone I have never wanted to be. It makes me ultra aggitated to the point where at night being touched at all by anything irritates me and my skin.

3. I love taking pictures, but still feel highly inadequate in doing so and had to be convinced by my wonderful friend Linds that I should set a price list-that I have enough experience and don't have to negotiate anymore.

4. I love babies, but I still don't feel quite ready to have one of my own. Maybe within the next year or so.

5. I am more tom-boyish than girlish-but my hobbies are all ultra feminine. I would rather wear jeans than a dress, but I would rather scrapbook than hunt. However, I do like to mix it up and try to wear girly jewelry frequently. (I also like to throw in a little imitation punk when I can!)

6. I am with Angie on this one-I have cancer on both sides of my family in many forms, so I expect myself to get it at some point. I doesn't scare me right now, I guess I am just hoping that medicine progresses by then and there is a cure for it.

7. I love to travel and so far I have been out of the country a few times and all over the US, and I am constantly thinking about where I would like to go next! So far I have been to Brazil, Nicaragua, Mexico, Caribbeans. I would like to go to New Zealand/Australia, Europe, Fiji, Ireland, And Hawaii-someday hopefully!

Now I tag: Kira, Kristen, Amber, Dana, Kelsey, Linds, Kristina

Varsity vs Saratoga

Yesterday our varsity team played against Saratoga, and in the end we pulled it out 10-3. It was a rough game and we didn't exactly play our best, but the weather was warm, the company fun, and a few players had some really great plays. I have really enjoyed getting to know some of the players and being able to watch this team come together! The bonus this year is that they made it to regional's, I hope they'll continue on to state, but so far-I am just happy that they are winning, and having fun!

Play on!

Happiness in a Box (or 4)

So this is my happy birthday to me! I received 3 of my 4 boxes today! I bought an extra camera battery, and the brand new photoshop elements with my leftover business money. I got all this scrapbooking stuff and my soon to come baby legs (for my business-I am not announcing anything)with my birthday money. Seriously, I know it's sad-but I shopped all day online when the school was doing testing, and picked out all my goodies! Who knew that the shopping would be just as much fun as getting my box? Who knew that 1 little box of scrappin stuff could make my day-well I guess all of you who know me could predict that!

Enjoy your hobbies!

A Quick Look At Where We Live

So....after a few requests of posting what our place looks like-here's the first floor. I will show the upstairs when I get a chance to photograph it when it's clean :0). When you walk in there is a sitting room (with the clock and stars), then a hall with a 1/2 bath, then the open kitchen-dining-and living room. Our furniture is pretty hodge-podge, but all I can day is thank you to grandparents and family who like to give us free things! The first pieces of nice furniture we have bought are these black leather couches. I love how modern they look, and surprisingly they are pretty comfy, but so slick that you slide right out of them. It has stopped us from crashing on the couches though :0). Next piece to buy-a lovely brown leather king sized bed-I am currently saving up! Wish me luck!!!! Eric and I will hate moving from here unless we get something new with as much space and a garage! We pay a pretty penny for this place, it's teacher housing though so we only get 1 year in it (it's cheaper than market value here even at $1200/mo, the others in the area that are similar are around $2500-3000/mo), but it's only 1 year old and so much bigger than anything we have ever had, that we feel we are really lucky-even though the money was quite a shocker!
Warm homes for all my friends!

Drowning in Snow

This weekend we recieved lots of snow!! I just don't think I am ready for the cold weather and snow in my sunday shoes! Thank goodness I bought us a snow shovel early because I think we almost got a foot of snow! It's supposed to get warmer though-so I am praying for that, atleast for a little while longer!
Enjoy the warmth if you've got it!

Pinedale Varsity vs Kemerer

This game vs Kemerer was painful to watch. I felt bad for the boys-they were working very hard, but Kemerer was quite possibly twice the size of most of our boys. We were on defense most of the game and just couldn't seem to convert anything into a first down. The fact that it started snowing the day we played didn't help, as our field acts like a sponge for any moisture, and it was freezing cold-needless to say there was a lot of fumbles. Bummer deal, but maybe we will do better this Friday in Saratoga! Good luck boys!

Happy games to all my friends!

Only in Wyoming!!

I was out doing a photo shoot this afternoon (yesterday's weather didn't cooperate!) and as I was on my way out I stopped to take some pictures of this horse around sunset time-when it decided to check out the insides of my car! Soooo funny, but I'm not a big fan of horses. I mean I think they're beautiful, but they kinda freak me out because they're so big-thank goodness this one was nice. Yes, that is him inside my Pilot-next to my light switch-hahaha, only in Wyoming :0).

Close encounters for all my buds!

Gameday-October 3rd

Happy birthday to me! I skipped out on school and went with our friends the Nelson's to the Pinedale Varsity v.s. Mountain View. WE WON, and will be going to the regional tournament for the first time in a long time. Although there was a game delay and a little rain-the game was definitely worth it, so thank you boys for the birthday win!!

Play on!

Arrrggh Maty We're Going 'Home'

Payden the craziest Pirate of them all (Amber's)
Paige the Princess (Amber's)
Cute little Adelina-my brothers little pirate
Our littlest Pirate-Mara Jade (Amber's)
Emma the little pirate princess (Kira's [my sisters friend] daughter)

I had the opportunity to go home this weekend with Eric. It was definitely fun-filled! We had Paige and Payden's birthday party, Mara's baby blessing, did family pictures, re-connected with an old friend, did a little shopping, and hung out with lots of family. It was a blast! Payden wanted Pirate cupcakes (hence the pirate poses) and Paige's were very girly (of course). Although Eric and I both came home with colds-it was well worth the trip. I had a great time re-connecting with an old friend (you know who you are), and just wanted to say that I think you are an amazing person and that God loves you and knows your fears. You have strength beyond your belief-I could never go through the things that you have had to with the faith, dignity, and courage you have shown. You are a great example to me, so thanks for letting me talk the night away with you-I learned a lot, and had a great time! It made me miss many years of us not being closer-my prayers are with you, with all you have yet to face! Call me anytime! To the rest of you, I hope you enjoy the pictures!!! Check out my business blog for more family shots!

Close mates for all my friends!
